Responding to a heartbreaking crisis with unwavering support
Since the onset of the devastating war in Ukraine, SmartAID has been steadfast in its mission to provide critical assistance to those affected. Our response has been both urgent and compassionate, addressing the multifaceted challenges faced by individuals and communities caught in the conflict.
Delivering the aid people need
SmartAID has provided life-saving resources to hospitals in war-torn regions, ensuring medical facilities remain operational under extreme conditions. From headlamps for doctors to solar-powered generators, we equip frontline healthcare workers with the tools they need. Recognizing the vulnerability of newborns, we have also supplied portable baby incubators, enabling mothers to transport their infants to safety during air raids.
Beyond Ukraine’s borders, our response continues. As refugees arrived in Poland without a way to contact loved ones, SmartAID provided portable phone chargers, restoring vital lines of communication. To safeguard education, we established Smart Classes across Poland, Moldova, Turkey, and Romania, ensuring displaced Ukrainian students can continue their studies. Within Ukraine, over 300 Smart Classes now provide shelter-based learning, offering stability in the midst of conflict.
For individuals with hearing impairments, we introduced smartwatches that vibrate in response to air raid sirens, a crucial adaptation for those unable to hear traditional alarms. Addressing broader humanitarian needs, we have delivered 16 containers of essential aid and improved living conditions for individuals with mental disabilities—installing kitchens, laundry facilities, and sealing 300 windows to protect against winter’s harsh conditions.
To keep communities connected, we deployed Starlink Wi-Fi in refugee camps in Moldova and established internet access in classrooms across Poland and Ukraine, ensuring students can continue learning and families remain informed.
