Packing four tonne of aid in Sydney for Turkey

TheSmartAID team in Sydney feels incredibly fulfilled after a knowing that they were able to prepare the whole shipment of aid to support those impacted by the earthquake in Türkiye.  We want to express our gratitude toRachel Ward, as well as all the volunteers from the Turkish Consulate and the Turkish community, MedEarth team and The Angels Network team, who joined all our SmartAID volunteer team in packing 21 pallets. 

 

The team in Sydney spent many days packing up the donation of 10 pallets of medical goods donated by MedEarth, which included ventilators, syringe's, ICU RecoveryOxygen meters, wheelchairs, thermal shock blankets, crutches and much more.

 

TheSmartAID team and volunteers also packed up warm bedding, head lights from localTurkish communities in Sydney, solar lights donated by Solar Buddy and AyalaFoundation and sleeping bags donated by Kathmandu Australia.  All this aid was sent to a camp which just opened for 1500people who had lost everything and are now this camp in Adayamen, Turkey. 

SmartAID extends heartfelt appreciation to DHL teams in Sydney, Singapore, and Turkey for their unwavering partnership in global crisis support. Their swift logistics made a significant difference, empowering SmartAID to aid those in need. Together, we make a powerful impact. Thank you, DHL.


Our heartfelt thanks to Consul General Mr. Ali Sevim and Vice Consul General Mr. Mehmet Erçikti of Türkiye for generously volunteering their time and assisting in the vital preparation of supplies for the Turkish people. Your commendable dedication and selflessness are truly inspiring. It is heart-warming to see organizations and individuals come together for a good cause, especially in these challenging times.
