How to Donate

When you give to SmartAID, you help communities recover from disaster sooner. A $50 Smart Start gift provides access to essential lifelines; a $650 Smart Energy gift provides communities with access to clean portable energy; a $1000 gift helps a community reconnect with satellite internet for a year.

Our Donation Policy

When you donate to a specific project, your donation goes directly to delivering that project and towards raising funds to support that project and other SmartAID projects. This means your contribution is used solely for:

• Project Costs – Direct costs of the procurement of goods, materials, and all associated costs required to deliver aid to the intended beneficiaries.
• Fundraising Costs – The costs of donor engagement and raising funds.
• Program Administration Costs – Essential expenses other than Project Costs and Fundraising Costs, for example the costs of governance, financial management, and regulatory compliance.

Your donation may be subject to merchant / banking fees. Our donation policy is based on the net amount we receive after these fees are applied. This is the amount we allocate to the above categories of expenditure.
