Providing immediate life-saving relief and investing in the infrastructure needed for long-term resilience.

In the heart of a Gaza refugee camp, a mother clutches her young daughter as they navigate the dusty paths of the camp.

They now live with three children and a disabled family member.

Hunger is a constant companion.

The distant roar of aid trucks offers a hope but for a woman alone, children, and disabled people reaching them is not an option.

Just steps away, however, a community kitchen hums with quiet resilience. Run by women led, civilian groups from within the camp those who have endured the same suffering it serves hot meals daily to those who need it most.

This kitchen is one of many women led community kitchens situated where all people need them the most.

In January 2024, SmartAID expanded into Gaza, building while providing support in Israel since October 8, 2023, immediately following the outbreak of war. We have served tens of thousands of Israelis impacted by the conflict and today, we remain committed to both sides of the humanitarian crisis.

Together with our partners, SmartAID provides immediate, life-saving relief focusing on women, children, and people with disabilities while simultaneously investing in the infrastructure needed for long-term resilience.

In Rafah, Al-Mawasi, and Hamad, we’ve helped set up six refugee shelters. These aren’t just roofs over heads they are spaces of safety, dignity, and essential services. They are fragile lifelines in the chaos of displacement.

To date, 850 tons of critical supplies including flour, oil, and blankets have been delivered to families across Gaza. We’ve ensured children receive warm bread. People with disabilities are not left behind. The weakest of the weak are seen, and fed.

Every effort is vetted and coordinated with the Government of Israel, ensuring that aid reaches civilians specifically those most at risk while maintaining transparency, security, and compliance.

SmartAID’s impact stretches beyond delivery. We’ve partnered with over 27 international organizations, Israeli civil society, and UN agencies across the region helping them overcome Gaza’s logistical barriers.

Over the past two years, we’ve secured approvals for 56 foreign aid workers, including doctors and logisticians, and facilitated the entry of more than 95 aid trucks with food, hygiene kits, and medical supplies.

This kitchen is just one expression of our commitment to localized aid a core SmartAID principle.

We don’t just deliver assistance. We embed it into the community fabric, empowering grassroots networks to lead recovery from within.

Even as we respond to today’s crisis, we’re planning for the future. SmartAID is working with ministries and global think tanks to design the “day after” a vision that includes rebuilt homes, clean water tanks, and solar grids powering clinics and shelters across Gaza.

SmartAID and our community based partners are more than aid providers we are offering hope
