When giving to charitable organizations, it’s often difficult to know where the funds you are giving are going and how they are being used. The BUYME Support Effort is a clear, direct way to provide gift cards in Israel to Israeli victims of war, providing displaced families and survivors with the agency to purchase what they need, when they need it.
Through this charitable collaboration with BUYME, Israel’s largest gift card supplier, recipients can shop at over 1,200 retailers - for everything from food to clothes to home goods and more! The gift cards do not expire for five years from the date of receipt.
You can trust that the recipients of your BUYME gift cards are going to a vetted individual or family that is being supported directly on the ground by a collaborative effort between global philanthropic organizations SmartAid International and Pandemic of Love. The organizations curate a list of recipients provided to them by charitable organizations, community-based organizations and municipal organizations and provide the information to BuyMe for disbursement of gift cards.
1. Buy a gift card in any amount on the BUYME Landing Page up to 1,500 shekel. You will receive a confirmation of purchase.
2. Resources are pooled. The Gift Cards purchased will be in shekels only.
3. Whether you give 5₪ or 1,500₪, resources are pooled and then divided based on needs, urgency, and size of the family.
3. BUYME sends an email to the vetted recipient to alert them that they have a gift card available with a balance that they can immediately begin to use.
5. All Gift Cards purchased will be transferred via the BUYME company.
6. The validity of the issued Gift Card will be for five years from the day the Gift Card is received. The expiration date will appear on the Gift Card itself.
If your organization, school, group or community wants to raise funds for a bulk purchase of gift cards, one of the charitable partner organizations can work with you to ensure ease of transaction and to communicate to you exactly where, to whom and how your gift cards will be distributed.
